You will find yourself reading to the family at the dining room table or at your next family reunion around the picnic table.

160 words

Find yourself, your brothers and sisters, your entire family in one character or another. The Family Reunion is a collection of vignettes and character sketches woven together around family members arriving at a family reunion. You won’t fall asleep reading this book. Put your feet up and be ready to chuckle. Once you are finished reading the entertaining book give it to Grandma if you can tear it way from your little sister. This is a amusing light read for the whole family. The author says “Every character and situation comes from real life. They are all stories and personal characteristics that I see in myself and family members including you. You will be able to relate to the Christmas tree falling on Grams or all the men going out to see Uncle Len’s new care and taking it for a test run leaving the burgers to burn on the BBQ.  These stories are buried deep between truth and fiction.”

Reviews:

I enjoyed your little book The Family Reunion with its cast of unforgettable characters. You have a real knack for making characters come alive, and I had to laugh at some of their quirks. I couldn’t help recognizing one or two as folks who turn up at our own extended family reunions every August!

I just finished The Family Reunion. What an uplifting and warm piece of literature. I could not put it down. I simply devoured it. Thanks so much for such a fine book.

The Family Reunion, by Richard M. Grove, is an entertaining book of short stories, which captures the essence of a variety of family characters, each of us can relate to. The Family Reunion provides a humorous look at family as they gather together at their annual family reunion. I particularly liked Uncle Girwood’s chicken story.
