Jim Christy has led an exciting life. At the tender age of twelve, he ran away to see the world and saw as much of it as he could until the cops brought him home. Ever since then, he has been visiting the far corners of the world. His travels have taken him from Greenland to Cambodia, the Yukon to the Andaman Islands. He has lived with natives of the Amazon and natives of the Fiji Islands.
As a freelance reporter, he covered seven wars and armed conflicts. He has been out in the field with the elite mine-clearing drew of the Cambodian Army.”
He continues to explore the ways and doings of men, women and other creatures. He is also a visual artist who has exhibited internationally with painting and sculpture. He traces his artistic heritage back to Catullus and Francois Villon, through Frederich Hundertwasser and Burle Marx to Lester Young and Cliff Edwards. He is the author of numerous books.
Even though USA born, raised in South Philadelphia we proudly claim him as a Canadian author, presently living in Belleville, Ontario. Christy is the author of over 35 titles of short stories, essays and poetry.
